Automatic litter boxes for cats were recently invented and are a new device that makes life much easier for pet owners. The Els-Pet E801 Self-Cleaning Cat Tray is designed to serve from a small kitten to an adult cat and does not depend on the weight of the pet. Infrared sensors are built inside that detect the animal. Thus, the developers moved away from the gravitational system for determining the location of the cat in the device, which, with any movement or addition of filler, required a reboot of the system and zeroing the weight. The automatic litter box cleans the animal itself, maintaining hygiene and eliminating unpleasant odors. In addition, the pet itself is extremely unpleasant to visit an uncleaned toilet. Using such a tray, these problems are solved almost instantly.
The system turns on at least 5 minutes after the cat visits the toilet. The delay in cleaning time is adjusted in the APP application, depending on the filler and the time it solidifies into a ball, and also so that the cat can leave and not be frightened by the device. The cleaning process takes up to 1 minute with a low noise level of up to 35 dB.
The toilet uses ordinary clay (bentonite) filler of fine fraction, which is sold in any pet store and is inexpensive. The cat excrement compartment holds up to 4 liters, which means it can be emptied less frequently. The filler tray is designed for 5 liters and does not require frequent filling.
Closed system and UV sterilization minimizes process odors. The automatic front door closes during the cleaning process to prevent the animal from entering the device or injuring it. After the filler cleaning process, which will take less than 1 minute, the door automatically opens and UV sterilization starts. At the same time, animals can already visit the toilet again. During UV sterilization operation, the sensors detecting an animal inside will immediately turn off the UV sterilization process. If for some reason the cat remains in the device during the start of the cleaning process, the machine will not start the cleaning process, but will wait until the animal leaves the device, and only then the automatic front door will close and the cleaning process will begin. The device's smart color light system allows you to monitor in real time what mode the automatic cat litter is in. A convenient system of control buttons for all modes of the device on the side panel, as well as a display with an electronic clock, make it easy to use. On the back of the body there is an additional compartment for technical accessories (garbage bags, shovel, brush), which is very convenient. The low step of 15 cm is convenient for kittens, pregnant and adult cats. A fine grid built into the step allows sand to be pushed off the animal's paws when leaving the toilet.
