The IDOGMATE-3050 ball launcher for large dogs—featuring a range of up to 9 meters—is an excellent exercise tool for larger breeds. If you lack the time or patience to spend playing with your pets, this device is for you. A lack of physical exercise leads to poor physical condition. Dogs are active, social animals with high intelligence; just like humans, they require physical activity, mental engagement, and environmental stimulation. Ball-launching machines serve as educational toys. Moreover, even when you are not at home, your dogs can play independently. Interaction between a dog and its owner is crucial. The included elastic tennis ball, with a diameter of 2 inches (4.8 cm), is suitable for small and medium-sized pets to retrieve and carry. Fetch—the act of launching and retrieving balls—is a favorite game for most dogs. The launcher does not take up much space and fits easily into any spare corner. The IDOGMATE-3050 is powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery, making it fully portable. The device features a built-in sensor that detects the presence of a tennis ball; it scans for a ball every 5 seconds. Once a ball is detected, the launch mechanism activates to propel it forward. With the press of a single button, you can select from three launch distance settings: 3 meters, 6 meters, and 9 meters.
The package includes three 2-inch (4.8 cm) training tennis balls.
If you own a large-breed dog, we recommend considering the Paws-3195 MAXI model, designed specifically for large dogs, which offers launch distances of 3 meters, 7.5 meters, and 12 meters. The only differences between the models are the physical size of the unit and the maximum launch distance; the operating principle remains the same. How to Train Your Dog to Use an Automatic Ball Launcher
Training your dog to use an automatic ball launcher is easy if done gradually and in a playful manner:
1. Introduce your dog to the device
First, allow your pet to calmly inspect the launcher, sniff it, and get accustomed to the new object. Turn on the device without launching a ball so that your dog does not become frightened by the sounds it makes.
2. Use a favorite ball
Show your dog the ball and launch it manually a few times yourself so that your pet understands the basic concept of the game: the ball flies out, and it needs to be retrieved.
3. Encourage ball retrieval
After your dog brings the ball back, help them place it into the receiving chute. Be sure to offer praise, a treat, or verbal encouragement every time they successfully return the ball.
4. Practice in short sessions
Initial training sessions should last 5–10 minutes to ensure your dog doesn't get tired and maintains their interest.
5. Reinforce the skill
Over time, your pet will realize that if they place the ball into the device themselves, the game will continue.
Helpful Tips:
- Begin training in a calm, quiet environment
- Do not use force or coercion
- Always offer praise for success
- Ensure safety during playtime
Result:
Most dogs quickly master the device and enjoy playing independently, getting both physical exercise and mental stimulation even without their owner's constant participation.
